| hi!I guess you're wondering what this nydc thing's about right? It's a restaurant group we started a few years after Max & I met in college and got married. Our vision for n.y.d.c. was of a place we'd want to hang out at ourselves. (Which is lucky, since as it turns out, we WORK here.) You know the kind of place we mean - slightly funky, so we could go with friends and everyone could stuff themselves silly and let their hair down. A place where people celebrate life. We chose cool music and decor, a wild and crazy staff, and a menu of FUN food based on recipies for homemade soups, breads, pastas, pizzas, cookies, pies, ice-cream, mudpies, cheesecakes |

and cakes that have been in my family for generations. (When we say FUN FOOD, by this we mean: No Broccoli allowed on the Premises. No, I'm sorry, sir. You may NOT bring your own broccoli, even if you ARE willing to pay "corkage" on a nasty green vegetable. No, no, absolutely not. It would violate n.y.d.c. corporate policy. We do apologize for the inconvenience.) So we've got fun eats. And of course, when there;s cake, there's great coffee. (Why? Because caffiene is our drug of choice.) Try some Elephanccino™ - size - hot or iced - and you'll be hooked. Oh yeah - we're dedicated to just a few things: bringing our brand of funk to the people of the world, regardless of race, creed, age, color, or sex (or even "lack thereof"). But seriously, ya'll.
